I have got won some of your other cookbooks but wondered why you don't use media mail where it's cheaper.

We do use media mail. The reason our postage is higher on our listings is that we combine postage when more than one auction is won. (And remember Listia allows extra for packing/shipping supplies and weight of books.) We have five bidders now that are bidding every week. Just shipped one her last week's books...postage went from $43 down to $19 when combined. If you will notice, up until last week when we started reorganizing the "office/bookroom we were keeping 100 auctions going. We are now down to 65, but are posting a few every day to get back up to the 100 that Listia allows us. Most of the listers (book) on here only post up to 20 or so a year! We are completing our third month and have post almost 300 auctions. We try to post only good books and often requests by our bidders. The first weeks on here, I posted a lot of free shipping, got lots of credits which I did not need, and ended up paying out over $60 to ship just the freebies.... I could have donated them to one of the local charity stores (which I do almost every week), gotten a tax write off and not had to pack and go to the post office several times. Sorry about writing this "book", but did want to kinda answer your question.

Hmmm. Just checked out you site to find no auctions. And I am afraid the yellow one would not fit an old, fat, senile man like me!!! Keep watching; I think we have fanned each other???

That's makes since. I never thought about packing supplies. Yes I won a couple of your cook books. No I don't have any auctions posted at this time having some health issues and trying to get those taking care of first. Don't want to start an auction and not be Able to get shipped.

Understand that. I am still trying to get caught up. The day I had 25 auctions go off really put me behind! I am rushing to get a bid in at the last minute on plant seeds that I want. Have we fanned each other? Need to check when I get through bidding. Jay

I'm in the hospital right now if I bid on this can I pay you come the 5th for shipping if I win as that's payday and may have to have surgery between now and then as well.

Of course. I have two or three that I held their books until they could pay; doesn't bother me. Can't believe I am getting bids from hospitals! I'll work with you anyway I can, except come see you: I can't "do" hospitals! About ten minutes and I begin to feel like I am going to have to be registered! Dread the day (and since I am fastly approaching 100, it is bound to happen!) that I have to spend my first night in one. So, bid and look at some more auctions and forget where you are!

Look slowly and return as I am short 30 auctions due to trying to catch up with the office part of this and the shipping! Maintaining 100 auctions is rather hectic....or something!!! But I am enjoying Listia; even put three other sites on vacation for a few weeks. Will be thinking about you in that awful place while I am out here having a ball on Listia!!!!! Jay
