Dwarf crape myrtles are those which grow under 3' in height. These dwarf shrubs produce an abundance of brightly colored flower clusters for an extended period of time during the summer. Sometimes we refer to them as "summer azaleas" because they grow similar in shape and size but bloom during the summer months.

EXACTLY what I am looking for! I didn't know there was such a plant!
I have a huge rock, TALL, in my side flowers to draw attentioyard, and
I am going to plant these tall, purple bushy flowers on each side of it,
and I wanted something shorter and pretty to plant in front. I want the
flowers to draw attention to the rock, but not take over. :) So, these
would be perfect! :) Thanks so mmuch for offering them.
