I don't think that it is . It's more of a collectors piece made to commemorate the $5 1923 Lincoln bill design .

Just to clarify for the questions, this is a 1 troy ounce bar of silver IN THE LIKENESS of the 1923 Series $5.00 Silver Certificate. It cannot be used in place of a $5.00 bill. It's value lies in the silver content of the piece itself. It's also a nice piece for collectors.

looked this up found some on ebay this would be great for the collector i never seen one of these before but when i looked it up wow they made so many differant ones in that year they are really nice to have for a collection
