The listing, #57- Harold W. Chase- Buffalo Federal League Club- Cracker Jack Card- A Dover Reprint has ended.
I have this card of Harold W. Chase, first baseman of the Buffalo Federal League Club. He was born at Los Gatos, CA on October 22, 1884. He first gained fame at Alviso, CA and then with Victoria, of the Northwestern League, in 1903, as a pitcher. At this place, he learned to play first base and was signed by Los Angeles as a first baseman in 1904. He was then drafted by the New York American League Club at the close of that season and was at once a sensation. He remained with New York until 1912, when he was traded to Chicago. He jumped Chicago for Buffalo, of the Federals and after court proceedings was declared elegible to play for that team. Chase was a left-handed thrower and a right-handed batsman.
