The listing, Slugger, The New Tract has ended.
The judge will be a Man. He also was dead. His body lay in a tomb. He is alive today in the same body of flesh and bones that was nailed to the cross. He is God’s beloved Son who died the horrible, agonizing death at Calvary to “put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” (Hebrews 9:26). He suffered, “the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God” (I Peter 3:18).(Hebrews 7:25).
He is the God-appointed Judge of all, and He will call forth from the graves both the saved and the unsaved at their appointed times.
“God…commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead” (Acts 17:30-31).
In that awful hour of judgment, you will stand before the Living Man, the Wounded Man of Calvary. The wounds He received provided eternal redemption for you. He will expose your record, uncover your sin. He will make no mistakes. He will offer no mercy, accept no alibis. You will have no appeal to a higher court.
You need not face this awful judgment. You don’t have to be lost forever. No, because this Man is not only the judge of all who reject Him; He is also the Savior, the way to Heaven, the way out of judgment for all who receive Him.
He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
“There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (I Timothy 2:5).
Your part is to admit you are a lost, helpless sinner and receive Him as your Lord and Savior. “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God” (John 1:12).
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24)
