Not too long ago I put up a pair of blue bird salt and pepper shakers - these bees are along the same lines! They are small, just a little over 3" long and 2" tall. Their wings lift off from the base, revealing the "cellar". A tiny spoon sits in the groove to allow the wings to fit right. One bee is accented pink, one is blue. They both have cheerful painted faces and big eyes. One bee still has the blue Japan sticker on the bottom. The person I got these from had taped them shut to keep them from breaking while being packed up. This left a tape residue that with a little care will come off. I just didn't think I could do it without breaking them - I can be very clumsy sometimes! LOL These bees are from the 1950s-60s but they don't look to have been used very much. Give them a new home today!
