The listing, Cosmo LADYBIRD LEMON short cosmos has ended.
50+ seeds
Rarely found but boy what a beautiful show they give. These are amazing and my first year planting them. They get about 12 -15 inches tall, drop seeds when the flower head dies and that seed produces another flower in days. It's the most amazing cosmo I've ever planted.
Next summer I'm making a border out of these. They are LEMON ! bright, vivid color without the shaggy tall problems of some cosmos.
Direct sow in early spring after the danger of frost has passed. Plant in full sun, in well drained soils. NO NOT FERTILIZE. Rich, fertile soils produce unusually tall, lanky plants with few blooms. Plants become top heavy and fall over.
Harvest bouquets in the early morning hours. Select stems with flowers that have just opened. Remove leaves below the water line. Cosmos has a vase life of 5-7 days. This species does not mind being crowded. No need to thin the stand. Seedlings are not winter hardy.
