The listing, Green Wing Macaw Feathers has ended.

It's that time of year again. My macaw is molting and I have so many feathers from over the years in a big cup. With feathers being the "in" thing now as far as fashion goes.. These are real and they are in red, blue and green hues. My bird usually molts 2 to 3 tail feathers every few months... So I have some long 2ft feathers too, I'll list them separately! My brother claims my bird smells like fruit loops. Lol she really does though. Macaws have oil glands that keep their feathers nice, unlike cockatoo's who have dust glands... Ugh. That's fun dusting the house every few days.

"Parley" my sweet bird, is not harmed in any way, these are just feathers that fall off as new ones grow in. So if your looking for REAL feathers! I have them. Can possible get cockatoo feathers too from "Snowy" she hasn't started to molt yet though.

Well Parley thinks she's human... She was the baby until my daughter came, I thought she was gonna stress out and pull her feathers out, but she didn't. Her and my daughter are buds now... Lol I think it's because she shares her food with her. Parley is very protective over my husband too... Lol if I mess with him at all she gets angry with me. They are funny birds though..

Conures are pretty too! Much much smaller. My dad got into birds when I was 8 years old.. We've even tamed some wild ones that were caught by smugglers and ended up here in birdie isolation.. Then the bird breeders got them. We had a yellow nape parrot named BF.. He came from south America and he love my dad. Died a few years ago though.. Made us sad.. :'( my brother has a malucan cockatoo and my dad still has the only baby the umbrella cockatoos had... The rest of our birds either died or my dad put them in a breeding program that our vet had going on. That's how I got Parley.. We gave ours to them, for babies later.. I had to have a macaw!! Had parley before she even had feathers... Doesn't know she's bird till its Molting season... She gets cranky.. Lol

How many feathers in this auction? Do you do anything with feathers ie. jewelry, masks etc?

I've got a handful of good feathers that haven't been chewed up... She has a tendency to chew on them after they fall out. You can make any kind of jewelry out of them... I've seen all kinds of crazy wild stuff done with feathers, it's all up to you and your creativity! I don't have an exact amount because its whatever falls off her that in putting in the package! :) thank you for asking.

Oh my goodness is she ever! The little butt head is a nipper but its so funny. To say the least, we have plenty for her to chomp on but it doesn't stop her from wanting to play rough.

Lol parley is not a cuddle bird.. But she hates it when I pick on my husband.. She is his attack bird.. But she always loves when my dad comes to visit.. He brings her those lifesaver mint candies and she love them. She will scream at him till he gives her one.

As far as what I do with these feathers.... I still them in a cup and save them. Sometimes small children come to my house and love my bird.. She lets them pet her and then I have these extra feathers that I give them one. Usually they are so excited!! No everyone can afford exotic animals, nor care to spend the amount of time caring for them. My dad does the same with the other birds. We have had them since babies so they don't think they are birds... Lol

Aww!!! How cute! I'm gonna have to try wintergreen with her. I bet she will love it! She is such a loud mouth. We have to have cartoons on for her or she has a fit. (*v*)
