The way it works is this: just like your toaster at home, the heat from the camping stove heats the bread, making it brown. The toaster is the holder that holds the bread so it can be toasted on both sides. You do have to watch the toast so it doesn't burn up. There obviously is a lttle bit of human involvement here to keep an eye on the toast so it doesn't burn up. Hopefully that helps explain how it works.
