This is a pendant that opens to be filled with whatever you like. I filled it with red seed beads. Will need new chain (one does come with it). Not sterling.

It is bigger than a quarter yes, It is also 2 pieces on a hinge so it is thicker than a quarter. It is just a base metal, so if you have a nickel allergy I wouldn't advise wearing. Hope that helps.
