Sorry to hear about your trouble. Selling on Listia doesn't transfer any copyrights. Unless you give the buyer a lengthy legal contract of copyright transfer signed by both you and the buyer, there copyright is still yours. If listing something on Listia meant that the copyright was transfered, then you could list a paperback copy of Harry Potter and the buyer could say they now own the copyright to Harry Potter. It just doesn't work that way. You need a signed contract to transfer the copyright. And your listings did state that the images could be used for personal use only. All my images are licensed, not sold, for use in items people make. They cannot sell or share the digital image. I've sold hundreds of images on Listia and have never had any trouble with anyone misusing the images. Except once, someone did try to relist an image sheet they won from me, and Listia promptly cancelled that person's listing because they did not have the copyright nor the right to list my image, even after winning it. So that should show you something. I wish you the best. If I were you I would continue listing and selling your images where ever you'd like. The buyer of that image has no legal documentation to show any rights transferred to him/her. You still own the rights to do as you wish with the images you worked so hard to create. I'll send you an email in a bit so you can privately let me know the buyers name. I definitely want to block that buyer from bidding on my auctions. But we'll discuss the names privately
