Nice piece of postal and German financial history. In the fall of 1922, Germany was faced with the inability to repay the WWI reparation debt, which led to a rapid decline of the Deutch Mark. This cover was postmarked 7 Jan. 22 months before the rapid fall of the Deucht Mark, however its postal rates had already increased by more than 400% from the previous year (a drop in the bucket for what was to come.)The franked Scott #90 & 121 are scarce in used condition.
