These 2 items did not come as a set but go well together. The shirt is 12 months size and the jeans are 6-12 months. No stains, tears, or holes that I know of. Good condition, smoke free home.

any piling of the fabric (from being washed or worn)? Also any flaws?

Not sure what you mean by piling. Both pieces are used but the shirt is older than the jeans. A little fading but not really noticeable on the shirt and the jeans look like new because my daughter didn't really like to put the baby in stiff materials when he was littler
