Hardy in USDA zones 4 - 9, DR. RUPPEL Clematis is a large-flowered variety with blooms 6" - 8" in diameter. It usually blooms twice, May - June, and then August - September. It is one of the best striped varieties, a very strong grower. The flowers are coloured a pale orchid purple, and having ruffled petals with a wide carmine central bar and yellow stamens. It's vine grows 6 ft. - 10 ft.

If you are going to sow the seeds directy into a garden bed, sow them IN THE FALL at a depth of 1 inch, spacing them 24" - 36" apart.

DR. RUPPEL Clematis is a Group 2 vine -- Early to mid-season rebloomer; prune in late winter or early spring.
