Will this fit a young German Shephard?

I really don't know. You will have to measure around his head and make sure it is less that 14" around so it can fit easily over his head and measure around his neck to make sure you will have at least 2 finger lengths from his neck. I really don't know if you would need this kind of training collar for a young pup before trying everything else first. This one is really designed for extremely strong and potentially dangerous dogs.
