I really don't think so. These were the early pins, then they came out with the rubber ended large ones. I thing those may still be around for people who use cloth diapers. They are really messy though much more environmentally safe I guess. I used Pampers for my kids, the early pampers that didn't have the sticky tapes on them. We had to pin them together just like cloth diapers!

Oh, now that you mention it, I'm sure you are correct. The large ones with the rubberized tips were MUCH better, safer too. Still I can use these, I never have a pin when I need one.
