FREE: 2 Vintage US Stamps from 1947 Stamp Centenary

The listing, 2 Vintage US Stamps from 1947 Stamp Centenary has ended.

You are bidding on a pair of US stamps from 1947-- these were issued in a miniature sheet for the 100th anniversary of stamps in the US. It's quite unusual to see them separate from the small sheetlet and used to carry mail, as these two were. They are Scott's catalogue number 948a & b. They are in used condition and appear to be free of damage. Unusual!

Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away over the past couple of years, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad collected stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes.

I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
