Yes, It uses a standard micro-usb cable ( will check if I have an extra as it did not come with one and I will include it IF I have an extra). This also has a cable it came with that I WILL be including. One end looks like a headphone plug and the other is an audio-video cable that will allow you to play videos from teh camera to your Television.

How much time does the battery last and how much light does the image sensor require?

It runs off of 3 @ AAA batteries and they seem to last a LONG time. I haven't had to replace them since I purchased this, but I also haven't used this a LOT either.

As far as light needed, I am not sure on that either, it has 2 LED lights on the front of it that light up so I am not sure how much it puts out as, as I said I haven't really used it much.

I don't mean to be a pain, but you stated that you are including the 8 gig SD card, but than stated that the memory card is not included. Wasn't sure if you updated the post and forgot to change one of the two statements. Just thought I'd ask to make sure I knew if it was included, or not. :)

I AM including an 8 gig memory card. I didn't see that line saying it wasn't included. THAT was a copy and paste from the description of the camera from manufacturer. There WILL be an 8 gig card in this camera when the winner gets it.

I have never had to replace the batteries I purchased when I first purchased this. I presonally have rechargeable batteries in everything I own that takes batteries.
