Description

The listing, ***Muscadine Grape Seeds*** has ended.

3 packets of seeds, 25 seeds in each.

1 packet of Golden Scuppernog seeds (Female). 1 packet of Nesbit Muscadine (Male) and 1 packet of Golden Nobel (Male). Having a male and female plant increases quality and quantity of crop although either one of these is self pollinating. A excellent grape for jam, jelly or wine.
Seeds must go through stratification, soak in room temperature water for 6 to 12 hours and place seed in combination of peat, sand or vermiculite. Place in refrigerator @ 2 months.
Muscadine is native to North Carolina and does well in zones 6-10. Grows well where temperatures seldom fall below 10 degrees. Vine takes @ 3 years before producing a large crop of grapes.

My vines really took off in about 3 years. This year I got about 200lbs of grapes, I have concord and champagne and "green" grapes. I gave tons to the nursing homes and retirement communities and I also froze some. :) my secret is chicken poop! Grapes love chicken poop! Great auction though!!

How long to sprout? Curious - debating on this or going down to Home Depot to get them already grown

At least 3 months to sprout and then 2 to 3 years before you would get grapes. The ones you get at home depot or lowes are at least 1 year old and would only be a year or 2 before you would get grapes. I believe they have a quarantee also.
