My mom died last year, and I've been going through some of her old stuff-- she was a dedicated "saver" of everything.Here is a One Pound coin from Great Britain, from her travels. It is a very cool "thick" coin, with writing on the SIDE, as well-- see the 3rd photo. It is from 1985, and I am not sure if it is legal tender still, but it's not worth my while to try to send it back to be turned into "real" money (A British Pound is about $1.65), but I thought it might be interesting to a collector.
