Description

The listing, Elastic Black .5mm Cord has ended.

A large spool of .5mm black elastic cord "stretch magic" for bracelets, necklaces, anklets etc...
This is a newer version of the elastic that doesn't wear out and get loose like earlier versions. The spool is open but hasn't been used very much, maybe a few yards out of the 100.
I just don't use it the way I thought I would! The best way to use it is to:
1. Measure out how much you need to use - ex. 2 inches past the measurement, a bracelet is 7 inches, so 9 inches.
2. Knot a bead at one end for a stopper and thread the beads you want to create your piece, for the bracelet 7 inches of beads.
3. Tie the elastic 1 inch shorter than the piece; ex. 6 inches instead of 7, so you will have a 3 inch extra piece. This way you know how much to tie off.
4. Tie the knot overhand first, then underhand second (see pic above). This is a square knot; if you need to see a demonstration or step by step pics of it there are several references on the internet.
5. Place a small dab of jewelry glue (ex. E6000) on the knot and trim the excess ends.
6. Slide the knot into one of the beads if it will fit to hide it while the glue is still tacky.

A magic elastic piece that is super secure and no one can find where it begins and ends!
