The listing, Halloween scary finger cookie recipe has ended.
Nothing says Halloween like treats of delicious fingers for all your ghouls and girls!
This is for an easy recipe that needs no molds to make. (but if you don't feel like you can do it by hand, I seen finger molds at dollar tree)
*I found the pic online, but made these cookies and they taste yummie! My cousins loved the fact that they got to make some of them too.
I am going to post the recipe on here for free, and if you like it feel free to donate by bidding.
*winning bidder will have what is posted on here emailed to them, nothing is shipped out*
Here is the recipe.
1 cup sugar
1 cup softened butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 2/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup blanches whole almonds (for nails)
2 squares of melting chocolate or chocolate bark (to put on "nails")
steps
1. Combine the sugar, softened butter, egg, almond extract and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Mix in the flour and salt. Cover and refrigerate dough for about 30 minutes.
2. Shape the dough into fingers . Score the top of the cookie with a knife to make it look like the wrinkles in the finger’s knuckle. At the tip of each finger cookie, press an imprint with your finger to make a spot for the almond finger nail. To make the finger nail, press an almond into the tip of each finger.
3. bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes
4. Use chocolate to put on almond as nails.
