Fun Chat Now Walkie Talkies! They work like a cellphone. You can call, text, and send pictures. Pictures are in B/W and are hard to see without right lighting. There are many different ringtones, screensavers, avatars, and more! I loved these when I was little but now I have a cellphone. :) Happy Bidding!

I would say the range is maybe a little more than a half a mile or so. Yes, It's only to other walkie talkies. Every chat now has it's own number. You just add that number to the contacts and you can text them. But it does not work on cellphones. The year......2005 or 2006.

Im a cell phone dummy, sorry stupid questions here. do you have to have a cell service? Are there 2 phones? Also, if my Grandson had this, he is 6 and his Dad the other, he would be able to communicate with him? He is too young at 6 for a real cell, even though he wants one real bad, these might work. Sorry, like I said, cell phone dummy. Or whomever has the 2nd phone is the only one he can communivate with? sorry :)

No cell service. Yes there are two phones. The range/distance of the phones aren't very far. Some walkie talkies can go to 8 miles. I don't think these can. They communicate with each other. I think if you had a third chat now, you could add it's number to the contacts on the other chat now, they could communicate.
