More hens and chicks need to be thinned, which is good for the lucky winner. the winner of this auction will receive 5 each of 3 different varieties of hens and chicks! they will come to you as bare root plants, packaged with loving care. you will be happy with your plants!

i always ship asap after an auction is over. usually the same or next day, depending on the time the auction ends. it will never be longer than that, unless it involves a weekend or holiday.
plants are picked and packed after the auction is over to ensure the happiest healthiest plants delivered to you!

They grow babys, a good example is in the third photo, so they get thicker and need to be thined every now and than to keep them healthy. They are very easy to thin, just pull them up. They are very forgiving. the only thin that I have found that they do not like is to much water. I have whole flower beds lined with them. I just pull up what I dont need when they thicken and share with others!

What is the best medium to plant these in.....i'm thinking gravel over soil so not to rot after heavy rain or doesn't matter..... i'm in florida so lots of rain.....thanks

They will grow in most any condition, although too much water is not good for them. They do real well in rocks and cracks between blocks especially in wet areas. So the gravel over soil or sand should do good.
