This is from PowerUp Rewards. My membership was expiring so I decided to not let my points go to waste. The instructions mention an Activation code and 5 passwords. I will give the code and the 5 passwords when auction ends.

Redemption Instructions •Press START on the Ransei map screen and select Password •Enter following codes separately and select Done •xxxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxxx •Dratini appears in one of the kingdoms •You can enter password after conquering 5th kingdom •Dratini appears in next in-game month after password is entered

I'm unsure, it does not say anything about that. I'm sure there is a period for use since I just redeemed points for the code but to be safe I would recommend using sooner then later.
