The design and customs associated with it originated in the Irish fishing village of Claddagh, located just outside the city of Galway. The ring was first produced in the 17th century, though elements of the design date to the late Roman period.

The story:
This time the story is about a prince who fell in love with one of his maids. Her father was against their love until the prince gave her a special ring, a Claddagh gold ring.
