It's not for the Kinnect. There is a sensor that is for the gun. And it's in this auction. Sorry for a delayed answer. Very busy.

So does the sensor hook up to the xbox or does it need to be synced to the xbox console via wireless.

All you do is press a button the on the sensor and Xbox and it syncs. And the sensor is wireless. It just needs batteries. (I think there are some already in the sensor).
