Offered is an original 7/8" lithographed political election campaign button, badge, pin or pinback that promoted Robert B. MEYNER for Governor of New Jersey and also for the Democratic presidential nomination during the primaries against JFK John F. Kennedy. He was a favorite son of New Jersey and a top contender for the presidential nomination at that time.

This button was later used in the 1972 New Jersey congressional campaign for his wife, cousin of Adlai Stevenson, Helen Stevenson MEYNER, who served in the US House of Representatives. Provenance is that I served on her congressional campaign staff in 1972 and these buttons were reused from the earlier campaigns.
