Description

The listing, Jewelweed soap for poison ivy relief has ended.

Jewelweed is a plant that was used by the Native Americans and hills people for the relief of itching from POISON IVY, poison oak, stinging nettle, bug bites and a variety of rashes.
I am a wildcrafter and make a batch of this every year to take with me while hiking. As the years have gone by, the demand for my soap thru my friends has grown. I have access to a prolific jewelweed patch and make my soap extra strong. I use no perfumes or additives nor do I harm any animals in making it, I do shove the dogs outside before brewing, if that counts.
I listed this on Listia last year and made many friends who won this soap. I made a huge pot of it last nite as I was running low and the plants are ready. This is a nice strong batch. I carry this with me while hiking, keep one in my fishing tackle box, carry with me while hunting, and keep a bar by my outside spigot to wash up with after gardening.
I make pocket sized bars to make them convenient to carry with you. Makes awesome stocking stuffers for your menfolk.
This auction is for three bars, Get it while it lasts......

I made a nice big bunch this year, depending on what my friends and family makes off with, I will be listing some on Listia. I've also had a request from a local business to stock some in their store so I mite be making more. Keeping me busy.I will do my best to see that everyone that wants or needs it gets a bar as much as possible.

That is wonderful. You may be the hit of the town, when they get some of that soap. I know i was telling a friend of mine about the seed, and the popping sounds they make. She is ready for the summer to come too, so she can hear the seeds when they start popping. Course, like you, we will be trying to harvest some of those seeds before they hit the ground.

yeah, the hummingbirds are so funny flying down and setting off the seed. They scatter (the seed) a pretty good distance. Im going tomarrow to gather more plant. It dies down in the winter, but the seed are so abundant, twenty more will replace each plant.
