Synopsis
New York attorney Stone Barrington and his partner, Dino Bachetti, are having a nice quiet bite to eat at one of their favorite spots when a man wanders in with a briefcase full of cash. The man is a former client and all-around goof-ball Herbie Fisher, and the amount of money is $14 million. Herbie says he won the lottery and needs an attorney; he's ready to cough up $1 million as a retainer. Stone, however, has reason (like a bullet whizzing into the restaurant) to suspect that there is more behind Herbie's earnings than good luck. And things really begin to heat up when beautiful British intelligence officer Felicity Devonshire turns up needing Stone's help--followed close on the heels by his ex-wife Dolce Bianci, causing, as usual, her particular brand of trouble.
