I purchased this to hem new curtains that I made. I first ironed the hem, making a crease, then hung the curtains up on the rod. Then all I had to do was fold up the fabric on the creaseline, tack it with a few straight pins, and walk along while sewing the bottom hem, lol. It did the job fine, so unbelievably quick and easy!
