Gourmet Blend features a tasty and colorful mix of five loose leaf in shades from green to red and textures from oakleaf to tightly ruffled. Fast-growing, tender, colorful and tolerant of hot weather, our popular loose leaf blend is selected for a long harvest. Grows best in cool weather and can be planted in early spring or grown as a fall crop. Protect from heat with shade cloth. Likes fertile soil, ample water. Best when picked minutes before your meal. Space lettuce plants 8" apart.

Sow in average soil in full sun in early spring for a first crop and or in late summer for a fall crop. Sow thinly to in rows 12 inches apart and cover with 1/4 inch of fire soil. Firm lightly and keep seeds evenly moist. Seedlings will emerge in 7 to 10 days. Sow every two weeks to extend your salad harvests this salad lettuce prefers full sun of 6 plus hours but in the heat of summer will prefer some shade cover and will be ready in as little as 45-50 days to harvest and can be thinned to 8 inches and planted at a depth of 1/4 inch for best results. It is container friendly can can handle about 4 plants per 12 inch container.. Packed for 2023.
