The listing, 40 + Blue False Indigo seeds / Baptisia australis, organically grown has ended.
Here you can get 40+ seeds of organically grown Blue Falso Indigo. This native plant to the Northeast is an upright perennial with green leaves and beautiful long racemes of indigo-blue flowers that appear in April through June. The pea-like flowers are followed by black seed pods that can be left on the plant for winter interest.
You have to be patient with this plant if you grow it from seeds since it can take up to 3 years for it to flower. But once established, it will be one of the hardiest plants you can ever grow.
How to plant it:
Plant a few seeds in a pot indoors in late winter / spring. Transplant the seedlings in their final destination when they are 3 - 4 inches tall. They want to be in a sunny spot where they get at least 6 hours of sun daily. Water them regularly the first year.
These seeds are cold stratified and this should help germination.
Happy Planting!
