It is pottery clay. It actually came with a kids electric pottery wheel as well but we could never get the wheel to work so I threw it out. No baking or heat required. When finished just let it dry naturally. I suppose if you really wanted to cure under heat you probably could. We just hadn't tried that method before.

The clay is really what weighs the most.... I dont know if its air dried? It doesnt specify. I wrapped it up good thinking it could dry out but it has not. its gray in color if that helps determine??!!
