Here you get 100 + seeds of Nicandra, also known as Shoofly Plant or Apple of Peru. This is an amazing annual that blooms from summer to fall. They reach 3 – 4 feet height and their blooms carry bell shaped violet and white flowers. After they flower, they develop attractive fruit pods.
Planting instructions
Plant in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade.
Germinate seeds at 15 to 24 degrees Centigrade (59 to 75°F) and they should take about two to three weeks to sprout. Cover seeds only thinly. You can do this 6 weeks before your last frost inside.
Put seedlings outdoors following the last frost of spring. Use a spacing of about 3 to 4 feet.
Otherwise you can also sow the seeds outside. Cover seeds thinly.
Grow in a rich soil, in either a partially shaded or sunny part of the garden that has good drainage.
