Shadowless cards are EXTREMELY rare. Shadowless cards are cards from the very first run of Pokemon cards, and they can be distinguished from normal cards by the fact that they have no shadow to the right of the picture. They also look more washed out and the font is different. Because there was only one printed batch of Shadowless cards, they are very rare and so are worth more than the normal cards.

Another tip: Shadowless cards have the dates "995,96,98,99" at the bottom, whereas the normal cards have "1995,96,98".
