It is absolutely amazing what children will come up with when left to their imaginations. My 10 year old boy and 9 year old girl have spent the summer with no TV, no computers, and no video games. They've made their way through books, board games, and the great outdoors.

And they've gotten creative. What we have here in this listing is a Bart Simpson inspired wooden slingshot, made from a naturally "Y" shaped twig found on a rural property near Austin Texas.

For the "sling" portion of the slingshot, the technology deprived tweens found a decaying rubber band, red in color, that had been exposed to the elements for an unspecified length of time.

It should be noted that while this piece of art is functional, it is intended as a display piece only; who knows how long the rubber band will last!

No adults assisted in the making of this product.

No animals, vegetables, or minerals were harmed in the testing of this product, though I believe the side of an old car experienced some denting.
