I bought 4 of these (1 each for by the front and back door and both outside gates). I have 2 large breed dogs and they couldn't care less about these sounding off. I gave two to a friend with 4 small yippee dogs. He e-mailed me that same night thanking me because they really work. So, whether or not they will work with your dog is a guess. No gaurantees.
