This auction is for 50 seeds for the Lipstick Tree (Bixa orellana). Also called Annatto tree. This is a shrub or small tree. The inedible fruit is harvested for its seeds. The seeds contain annatto, which is used to color food.This grows in zones 10 and up. It grows best in full sun. It grows from 6 to 20 feet tall. Colder zones could try growing it in a large pot.
Plant the seeds in a warm sunny location. The soil must be well drained in an area that does not flood.Sow the seeds when it is 66 to 75 degrees.
