The listing, Big "Hatch" Chili Pepper Seeds, New Mexico has ended.
I have grown these for some time, the pepper meat is very thick, the flavor is wonderful and mild. They make excellent relenos, breaded or battered and fried or baked with cheese inside. I have had great results both in the ground and in large pots. There are at least 50 seeds in each of the packets I made, I have several packets to offer and will relist untill they are gone. I get hatch peppers every year and I seed them as well as the ones I grow here for myself. These were taken from peppers bought in Hatch New Mexico, these seeds are not from my homegrown peppers. There is a taste difference between the two peppers, I believe the water, elevation, limestone soil, and atmospheric conditions all contribute to making peppers from Hatch New Mexico the best tasting on the planet but I also enjoy the ones I grow myself. There is just a slight intensity difference. These are from mild peppers, I do not grow this peppers hot variety due to my intended use. They also are a great flavoring ingredient in beans and gumbos. These are the best tasting Chili peppers I have ever had.
