Daniel, a fur trapper, is heading to Grisley City when his dog team is attacked by wild wolves. Only his faithful dog White Fang survives in order to defend his master. Seeking refuge, Daniel and White Fang are taken in by Helen, a young widow and her seven-year-old- son, Johnny. Daniel learns that Helen is being pressured into marriage by Ferguson, her dead partner's business partner, in order to acquire her valuable land. In a desperate attempt, Ferguson kidnaps Johnny, only to have his plan foiled by Daniel and White Fang.
