The listing, VINTAGE 1950s POSTCARD Unused S.S. UNITED STATES has ended.
Up for bid is a vintage 1950s postcard of the S.S. United States.
This ship was the largest ocean liner constructed entirely in the U.S., and the fastest ocean liner to cross the Atlantic in either direction, S.S. United States operated uninterrupted in transatlantic passenger service until 1969 when she was retired.
This is an unused Richkrome postcard in excellent condition. Richkrome is a brand name for a type of early photochrome postcard printed by the Steelograph Company in New York City during the 1950s.
There is a number 4 in pencil above the stamp box, but otherwise unmarked. This would be a nice card for any collection of vintage postcards!
