The listing, Vintage Religious Cross Potent ~ Jerusalem Cross ~ Pendant or Charm has ended.
Up for bid is a vintage cross potent pendant or charm.
A cross potent, also known as a crutch cross, is a form of heraldic cross with crossbars at the four ends.
In heraldic literature of the 19th century, the cross potent is also known as the "Jerusalem cross" due to its occurrence in the attributed coat of arms of the Kingdom of Jerusalem.
This was an estate purchase and the jewelry items it was found with are from 1945 (some are dated with engraving), and I’m fairly sure it has some age to it because everything in the estate seemed old.
Looking at the back however, it seems newer. And is a basic metal content. Has a split ring attached (imagine it had a chain at one time.) I picked it up because I know a lot of people collect different cross charms. Purchase it because you love it! It’s in nice condition.
Smoke-free.
