The listing, CD-Genealogist's Address Book has ended.
The Genealogist's Address Book serves as a sort of national Yellow Pages for the genealogist. It has more than 25,000 helpful sources. I got it at our library's fund raising sale so there are marks on the label. These do not affect anything. I got it to use but got sidelined by other projects.
I'm right into doing my family geneology...hit a hiccup a couple of years ago tho and put it down...and didn't pick it back up..I really should..now with this CD how does it work..like whose addresses is this gonna give? Thanks so much will look forward to hearing back from u God bless Debi in Canada
I did chck it out to make sure it worked and such. It lists all sorts of key sources of genealogical information, providing names, addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers, e-mail addresses, websites, names of contact persons, and other pertinent information for more than 27,000 organizations, including libraries, archives, societies, government agencies, vital records offices, professional bodies, publications, research centers, and special interest groups. I clipped that part from the web page but I did see alot of differant organizations. Alot that I didnt know existed. You would find lots of different search starting points.
