they were worn once with a halloween outfit but stored ever since.

clean,3 pieces. One attaches with a built in clip (easy to clip on) and the other 2 go over a ponytail, or however you want to use them.

How big are the pieces? Are they big enough to cover your natural hair?

The longer one has a clip that is removable, but wears over a ponytail, not down. The smaller ones go over a bun or ponytail they are more like scrunchie type. Please note these were halloween costume items, they may not wnt to be used for daily use....they are as is, still useable, but I would say for halloween not daily use,.....they have beenstored, and are clean, but again, used for halloween costumes.
