The listing, REAL Navajo Spider Brooch - Silver and Onyx has ended.

This is a genuine, handcrafted brooch/pin made by the Navajo artist Ella Spencer. The brooch is in the shape of a spider with an onyx adorning its back. The bottom has the artist's signature and says "Sterling Silver". It is about 2 inches long and 1.5 inches wide.

The spider pattern symbolizes the spider women, which is important in Navajo mythology. According to the Navajo, spider women are associated with the art of weaving.
