Similar products on the market fall off easily, but the Magic Dragon's structure is designed to ensure that it fits tightly with the ventilation knob of the Instant Pot models shown in photos and mentioned here, so it will not tilt and loose its' grip and seal. He stands straight and tall, proudly diverting steam in the direction you point it, away from cabinets, and preventing damage to walls and cabinets from the moist steam. Keep the steam away from your hands and face. You can direct the steam wherever you want!
The diverter is designed to fit snugly for a proper seal. If the bottom neck of the Magic Dragon is too tight when first putting it on, simply blanch it with boiling water for a few seconds or so before using it. This will soften it up so that it becomes more pliable and easier to squeeze onto the Instant Pot release valve to do its intended job.
Pressure release diverter is made of a high quality and food grade safe silicone. Not easy to deform, of moderate hardness with no peculiar smells, and can be washed in the dishwasher. The non-stick silicone surface makes it easy to clean.
