These are heirloom seeds, from plants grown following organic gardening practices only, and saved for generations for the beautiful bluish-purple flowers and for using the seed from the following blue-gray pods in traditional Hungarian bread and pastry baking. My great grandfather brought them when he immigrated from Hungary in the 1880s.
