From roughly Christmas to Valentine's Day, the HONEYBELL TANGELO is in season and available at fresh markets, especially in Florida. HONEYBELL is a trademark name used for fruits of the hybrid citrus tree cultivar 'Minneola'. HONEYBELL TANGELO fruits are rounded, but with a collar that makes them abstractly resemble bells. Tangelos derived from a hybrid cross between a grapefruit and tangerine made in the early 20th century.
