On the back of the case there should be a mark such as L7 or M5. Can you tell me what it says on the back please?

If it says 'L1', that means it was made in 1951. The 'L' indicates the decade '50's' & the 1 is for the year of the decade. Hence 1951. Clear as mud, huh? Please don't misunderstand, I'm no specialist or anything. I just happen to be an avid fan of the older Bulovas, & I have one that I have been researching for over 2 years & though I haven't been able to recover a blasted bit of info on mine, I did learn what that sequence of letters/numbers stand for. There should also be another set (5-6 digits/letters) on the back too. Did you see that set too? If so, can you tell me what they are please? Anytime I find a treasure like this, I always take the back off & check to see the numbers & markings on the watch works & the inside of the back. There may or may not be what looks like some primitive etching. I know I am asking a lot, but I would love to know what all marks it has. I might be able to tell you a little more about it. I would love to bid myself, but unfortunately, I emptied all my credits on a beautiful ring that seems to be lost in 'postal fairyland'. I am so very disappointed about it too. I don't have my ring( & may never get it) & I am out all my credits as well. I have no recourse at this juncture either as I know the seller did, indeed, ship it with a tracking number. I will definitely be watching though just because I love them so. Good luck.

Thanks, actually I was wondering if it'd fit around my wrist. So many old watch bands are tiny. Could you measure the length when you get the chance. Thanks!
